PFW SS22: THE BEST STREET STYLE SHOES
10TH OCTOBER 2021 - PHOTOGRAPHY BY MOEEZ ALIOTT sparkly gladiator sandals and quirky platform boots celebrated the return of Paris Fashion week.
As for the last stretch of fashion month, Parisian street style delivered in the form of embellished dresses, breathtaking Hermès ensembles and above all – stunning footwear. For peak transeasonal dressing, gladiator sandals were paired with long coats, socks were worn with minimal slingbacks and fur boots (a trend we will soon see a lot more of) made their seasonal debut. The usual suspects – Amina Muaddi and sparkly sandals were still a crowd favourite, while Miu Miu’s and Loewe’s chunky platforms were frequent featured shoes, too.
Lace-up sandals, but not the shy kind. A maximalist take on the classic lace-up took more a glamorous gladiator shape on the street of Paris, as guests dressed their statement sandals with coats and silk blouses. The newest showstoppers was part of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s second Gia collection.
Acid green mules by Amina Muaddi, Gia Borghini and The Attico has been a firm fashion week favourite, from Copenhagen to Milan, and continues to be the shoe of choice. These shoes has been seen paired perfectly with other bright colours or as a statement shoe with a more minimalistic, Parisian wardrobe, these is currently nothing these shoes does not go with.
